In Q4 2022, the top Navigation and Maps applications on the Android platform in Oceania demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the trends for the top 5 apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from 7.9K at the end of September and reaching 15.9K by the last week of December. The app also maintained a stable number of weekly active users, fluctuating around the 76K to 78K mark throughout the quarter.

Google Earth experienced a peak in weekly downloads in mid-October, hitting 9.9K, before stabilizing around 4.8K to 5.6K for the rest of the quarter. Its weekly active users showed a notable increase in mid-October as well, reaching nearly 30K, and then averaged around 21K to 22K for the remainder of the period.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation from AppStar Studios maintained a consistent weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $487 in the final week of December. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a significant spike to 6K in the week of December 19. GPS+ Maps, Navigation, Traffic from JVSTUDIOS showed a steady weekly revenue with minor fluctuations, peaking at $266 in late September and averaging around $150 towards the end of the quarter. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight increase to 2.7K in the last week of December. Active users hovered around 9.6K to 11K throughout the quarter.
